Prof. dr. Matej Zajc is a full professor at the Department for ICT. He teaches courses at bachelor and master levels in the fields of ICT and Multimedia. In 2015 he was awarded by Faculty of Electrical engineering a Milan Vidmar award for comprehensive teaching. In 2012 he was recipient of an exceptional scientific achievement ARRS in the domain of Education. His research field covers telecommunications and information-communication technologies.

He is an active volunteer at IEEE: Slovenia Section Chair (2010-2013), Signal Processing & Circuits and Systems Chapter Chair (2013-2017), Education Chapter Chair (2017 – ).

He is involved in organization of scientific and professional events: chair at WSPLC 2018 and INTSIKT 2019, vice-chair at ERK, committee member at IEEE MELECON,  EUROCON,  EDUCON,  ENERGYCON,  ICALT and TELFOR.
