Electroporation, also referred to as the method of the future, is extremely versatile and is considered a platform technology. It is successfully used in medicine, food technology, biology, biotechnology and ecology, e.g. for treating cancer or in the process of water purification and fruit juice pasteurization. The main theme of November's Scientific Workshop and Postgraduate Course Electroporation based Technologies and Treatments (EBTT) is cell membrane electroporation  and its current use in biology, biotechnology and  medicine.

EBTT will take place at our Faculty from 13th to 19th of November 2016. During these days lectures and practicals in wetlab, computer and hardware labs will be held in the framework of the doctoral programme (level 3) of Biomedicine offered by University of Ljubljana. The event is designed for both beginners and experienced users in the field of electroporation.
