How to apply for a temporary residence permit

The Administrative Unit in Ljubljana is opening a SPECIAL RECEPTION DESK for accepting applications for a temporary residence permit for study purposes (first application and extension of the permit).
From Monday, 26 September 2022, international students can register at the main entrance of the Ljubljana Administrative Unit, Tobačna ulica 5, 1000 Ljubljana. It is not necessary to register before that. Click on the link to open the location in map.
A special reception desk will be open during the office hours of the Administrative Unit:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 08:00 - 18:00 Wednesday: 08:00 - 19:00 Friday: 08:00 - 14:00Please prepare all the relevant documentation required for the issue of the temporary residence permit. Below you can find the forms and a more detailed description of the procedure.
When renewing the permit, you can submit an application even if you do not yet have a certificate of enrollment. You will have to submit the certificate of enrollment later.
